The 2nd Regiment is one
of six Army Regiments of the Texas State Guard, geographically
divided across the state. The 2nd Regiment encompasses the
area North to South roughly between Waco and San Marcos and East
to West roughly between Mason and Buffalo. |

Motto: Opus Perficere - Work to Achieve
Nickname: Travis Rifles
Symbolism: The blue shield signifies the original infantry
mission of the unit with the Capitol dome in gold honoring the
State Capitol in Austin. |
